Hi guys,

I bought some Interpet #8 Anti-Fungus and Fin Rot to help aid recovery of my new Betta which was bought with a slight case of fin rot. I was just curious whether or not the "warm water" used to dissolve the treatment must be dechlorinated prior to being added to the aquarium or if the medicine already takes into account the potential heavy metals, chlorine and chloramine that could be in the warm tap water.

I added some Seachem Prime to the aquarium after dosing with the medicine just to be safe until I get a definitive answer from someone that has used this medicine.

Thanks!

Im using that at the moment too, and i have dechlorinated mine just to be safe. I'll be interested to see the answer to this!

I dont think it would have any ill effects dues to that fact that it will only be a small amount of water. I have heard of people doing water changes without any tapsafe,

Cheers

when i use this at work i just take about a liter of water out of the tank after doing a water change and getting the water back up to temperature then mix the treatment with that and always works fine

Well after emailing Interpet they can confirm that because the water is a very small amount in comparison to the volume of the tank you do not need to de-chlorinate the warm water.

They also advised me water changing during the 7 days of water treatment should be avoided, but that's obvious!

Hi everybody

Just a quick query on the use of Interpet #8 Anti-Fungus and Fin Rot, I treated my tank earlier this week with the medication and my fish seam to have lost their appetite, is this something anyone else has noticed when using this particular medication?

I have a sneaky suspicion that they've gotten a does of internal parasites but it just seams a coincidence that their appetite dropped off a day after I dosed up the tank with the Anti-Fungus and Fin Rot?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Cheers
