Interpet Anti Whitespot

Hi all, I have a thread going in fish emergencies about my flicking themselves on the gravel, turns out to be whitespot. I have been advised to start a thread in here for advice on the above product.
I am either missing a booklet or the instructions are not great. I have read on the internet about waterchanges etc but nothings mentioned on the bottle, its all a bit vague.
I have a 300l tank and added the recommended 30ml on sat (day 1) and am due to due the same again tomorrow (day4). Should I be doing a waterchange before this? It then says re-dose again after day 7 if needed. Again no mention of waterchange. Maybe I shouldnt do one!!

Anyone have any experience of this?

Do the second dose then when the day 7 comes do a large water change and redose again even if the symptoms are gone, this way you do the extra course to be on the safe side

Not really tbh and if you do just make sure you re-top up the medication for the amount of water taken out

hi, added the second dose yesterday but as yet its showing no signs of clearing up. Its got worse if anything. The cardinals are quite covered and my torpedo barbs have a few more on them. All fish behaving normally though.

Anyone know how long before it starts to clear up? After 2 doses I would have hoped for it to start clearing up.

its a good idea to post over in the emergency section, they are really helpful.

Have you increased the temp in the tank to 29/30? I used this treatment with mine & after 12 days, all gone. Good luck

I used the same treatments in my tank it took 2 weeks to get rid of it all,along with raising the temp to 30

Thanks for the replies, glad to hear of some success stories with it. Did you just carry on dosing every 3 days? Yes I have the temp up to 30. Other than the spots the fish are active and feeding well. When you used it did the tank clear within 2 hours? I wasn't sure if maybe the filter was clearing it too soon. Have removed the carbon but in the xp2 there are the bio-chem stars wasn't sure if they may be affecting it. They make up the biological filter rather than the chemical part so am hoping they are fine.
