Big Numpty, my male Dalmation Mollie seems to have something wrong with his sexual organ
Normally it sits right back against his body and only gets erect when he pathetically attempts to romance the female. Past few days his gonopodium has been pointing slightly downwards and is white from the base to half way up, going back to black from there to it's tip.
I've tried looking online to find anything relating to gonopodium infections with no luck.
He was until today very subdued and apaphetic, hanging around the water surface or staying under the filter. He's normally very active spending most of his time patrolling his gravel. It seemed like gill flukes so I treated him with some Liquisil and he seems to be back to his normal self now, other than his odd looking todger.
Water test results are all normal.
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 10

I have taken a very blurry picture which unfortunately doesn't really show his problem. My camera phone takes really crap pictures and he wont stay still long enough for me to get a decent picture.
Here's the picture http://usera.imagecave.com/kinmad4it/02102007145.jpg

Given that the other male passed away last week probably from the gill flukes as his todger looked fine, am I worrying over nothing or is this something I should be concerned about. Thanks in advance for any help.

 your choice of words were really funny, but your poor fish is the issue so i wont laugh about that department, right ive looked at the pic and it looks like, even though a bit blurry, to be some sort of fungus.....OUCH!!!!!!!! esp there  .
some weaker fish can be killed off via any infections without actually having any symptoms so the one that died recently could have been this case, your boy with its sort BITS!!!!! could well easily be showing the symptoms right now and with being a stronger fish could be fighting this but will need help, i would advise in treating for a fungal infection.

It looks a lot more like some sort of fungus now. You're right!
He's got white bits hanging off the base of his todger. I popped in some aquarium salt yesterday. Next plan of action is some carbon in the filter to get rid of the previous medication, a good 30 - 40 percent water change followed by adding some fungus treatment.
I hope this is the right way to go. If it sounds wrong please tell me.

Just thought, as I've read the instructions for the fungus medication. Will one day and one water change be enough to get rid of enough salt so I can use the fungus medication? As the medication states it should not be used with salt.

What other fish do you have in the tank? Marine salt would be the best treatment, however it can be very stressful for certain types of fish.

try to use a med that will be ok with the presence of salt as a lttle salt will cause the chemical reaction which will do the harm, doing waters changes will reduce it but not eliminate it fully. its not worth the risk.

My other fish are 7 Columbian Red Fin Tetras, 1 Swordtail, 5 Glowlight Tetras, 2 Danios and 3 small 3" Clown Loaches.
Is there a fungus treatment that can be used with salt? Thinking I might give the herbal remedies a try as you can combine Melafix and Pimafix together.

Then i wouldn't advise using marine salt as a treating, the clown loaches and tetras in particular are fish which are not very tolerant of salt and it can have a negative impact on their health (even be lethal).

Where abouts do you live in the world? If you live in the UK, you should be able to get hold of "anti fungus and finrot" by Interpet, i have found this med to be a very effective anti-fungus med.
It would also be good to get some liquid mineral/vitamin suppliments too, they will help your molly out a great deal, like this;

I am in the UK. Essex to be exact. That Esha product sounds good. I've already got some King British fungus treatment. Just making sure most of the aquarium salt has gone before administering it. One more water change today, take the carbon out of the filter and then I'll pop the fungus treatment in.
I hope his "old man" will still be ok after all this. They haven't bred yet, but I'd hate him to not have the ability, even if he doesn't have the will.
