:D Ty! I think I am liking the crypts in the back. They wouldn't get much taller then that, if at all. Everything around it will though. I may not want the tiger lotus in there .

I still having some playing around to do. I would like to shift everything a bit and get the focus point off center. I think if the large crypts were in the place I intended for the tiger lotus. Ill see later. :p

Hi
nice to see you restarting, not sure i would have
as a suggestion , feel free to ignore

move this rock placement & crypt from left to right.Gives a bit more of a focal point on the right, and a diagonal path from front left to back right ???

This post has me thinking today. I am leaving the rock how it is now but maybe if the crypts were behind the kleiner bar sword. the left can go back to how it was.I would get that diagonal path back. :D I feel really close to achieving what I want here. It has just been about tweaking it.

I need to settle down. I will. tomorrow. Just ignore most of my posts. what do you think?

Heres today, without the drawing...the poor crypts are not going to like my torturing them.

  4 cups of coffee! + issues! Get it right. *sigh* I'm just excited and only have a two year old to talk to today. :p

hehe, I find 2 year olds make the best conversation! I'm glad you're excited, I've liked everything you've done so far in this do-over so I'm useless at giving you feedback because I'll just keep saying, "looks good" "I like it"
hehe.gif

Looking at your tank, that sandy stone in there is lying on a horizontal (9 o`clock to 3 o`clock) plane? this creates a flat look to that side of the tank. I reckon you should turn that sucker so he's lying on a 7.30 to 1.30 plane, so pointing in a near left to far right alignment. This would give a greater sense of depth; it would also be accentuating the 'pathway' you have there running to the rear!!

Well, you did ask for feedback!

You think you have issues?? This isn't even my tank!?!?!?

 I'll take a look when I next water change.

The wood is growing that creepy white fungus again which I think I very odd since it did that the first time I cycled. I didn't expect it to happen again. I wonder seriously what the gunk is now?

Does no one know for sure?

As promised I calmed down for a few days. The tank looks the same as before minus half of the crypt leaves, so no reason for a photo. Everything have a melting leaf or two, or 30 {bacopa} I am hoping in the next two weeks I will see more new growth then melt. I considered popping my co2 canister on this tank instead but my T-5 lighting is for the 75g and its about 10 inches too long. It looked ridiculous.

Ugh! I did a water change today and noticed something crazy.

You know that saying that if there was ever a nuclear fallout, the only thing that would survive would be the cockroaches?

Well add pest snails to the list. :shout: :shout: :shout: :shout:

How could an egg sac survive the bleach dip? It was a very strong bleach solution. I even rubbed the bottoms of leaves with a soft sponge to remove eggs.

There are baby snails all over the glass. They have plenty to eat since there are so many melting leaves everywhere. Everything is starting to die, except the crypts. They at least have new leaves.

You've restored this tank to it's former glory!!!! Nice one FF04. It looks great ;)

do you think the bleach may have done for the old plant leaves? As I recall your crypts didn't get that treatment as you added them later...I'm sure you will get some new growth once they have settled.

How tenacious these snails are! :grr: indeed...

All of the plants got a bleach dip actually. I just did those crypts separately. All the tanks in my house were contaminated and Fish TB is hard to get rid of, if you aren't thorough. The crypts old leaves died, they are just the only plants right now with new growth.

It's ok though. I am going to slowly build back my plant collection. After everything that has happened, I wouldn't be crying over a few lost plants. :good:

Maybe the snails will starve and die off.

Just putting this out there... Purigen is awesome! :kana: I finally got my order in the mail yesterday and put some in some in both of my externals. My water went from cloudy to crystal clear overnight. Even the carbon I had been running couldn't get the water to clear up. I am very impressed.

It's really a bummer that my plants look so terrible. This tank is a disaster. Everything went all melty and the new growth is coming, but at .65 wpg its growing really, really slowly.

At least the water is clear.
