Do check the underside of leaves especially that java fern. The underside is prime real estate for egg clutches.

I had checked and inspected the leaves, I don't see eggs at the moment. The snails are hidden at the moment. I'll try again tomorrow when they come out.

Take the snails out and get rid of them. They are unwanted pests.
I got rid of some visible snails today. I simply pick them up and crush them with my fingers, then put in the bin. I'm thinking of a schedule where I fertilise the tank twice a week (sometimes during water changes), and a top-up when water levels are below the blu-tac with dechlorinated water.

Here is its progress, from the start to today.

right now they have plenty of room in that tank so add more plants :)

I wanna see the tank with fish and plants set up before Xmas. :)

We moved the remaining silvertips from the old tank to the new tank. Everything went well until dad decided to dump them into the new tank instead of actually acclimating them in. And he thinks that a big tank for a single species is silly, in which is actually the best setup for semi-aggressive fish. I'll keep an eye on the trio until we get a bigger shoal tomorrow.

If the tanks are in the same house, they probably have the same temperature and same water so it's not such a big deal about acclimatising them to the new tank. I never bothered at home or in the shop if the fish came out of similar tanks. I just scooped them out of one tank and put them in another.

Maybe your dad should get his own tank. Then he can set it up however he likes :)

You can add other species like Corydoras to the tank to add variety. Just find some fish that come from the neighbourhood and mix them up a bit. :)

Yeah, that would be possible. Since silvertips are known fin-nippers, I think they are best kept by themselves.

I wouldn't call silvertip tetras fin nippers, certainly not like black widow/ skirt tetras or serpae tetras. Having a group of 10 or more will also reduce nipping if they are prone to it. They are in a bigger tank now and that reduces stress too, thus reducing nipping.

Day 35. Added 10 new silvertips to accompany the eldest trio. They are now schooling with the new fish a few minutes after being added in, which I never saw when I put the trio in the old 10 gallon. The 10 gallon has been since taken down since yesterday. I'll add in photos later.

It's been more than an hour since I added the new silvertips and there is sparring on the males, chasing the other members of their own species, in which I think is normal silvertip behaviour.
