Im new to this forum and very dissapionted

I read throught the forum for about a week before i jioned and truthfully was very dissapionted. How you treat each other is not "the friendlyist fish forum" quality. I read one post of somone and his new betta. He wanted to share pics of his new betta that he wanted to breed. Everyone jumped on them with rude coments like "thats a really nice VT" After everyone could see the person was feeling bad when they were told that. I personally think maybe its a cross of vt and ct. You could see alot of diffrence in the pics of his new betta and a vt he has. I think the person with the posts has the best perseption of what the betta looked like and everyone was a little to sure about themselves. I just think that everyone that has 1000 and stuff posts should not give them the impression that there better than everone else(most of the people who doubted him). I just think that we could be a lttle nicer to eachother. And i am looking foward to his update pics in a month of his betta to see if everyone was wrong like he intended. Just wanted to express myself

I knew i was going to get. I dont know him other than readiong his posts. You didnt say "what a nice betta" you said what a nice Vt. After he was apparently feeling bad that people were saying his fish was a vt. I do not know him but i am going to instant message him about me writing this cause i seriously feel really bad how he was treated. And how offended i am with those responses i recieved after i expressed myself. I probably wont come back to this forum for the only reason that you guys are very apparintly not here to encorage people or help people bu to show off your intelligance and keep that stronger by making people look lower than you.

I'm sorry you feel that way after reading in this forums. I have to say, I think a lot of the people here are very friendly and helpful. There are touchy subjects, ie: walmart and breeding VTs. But to tell you the truth, everyone here loves their fish and only says what they think is best for the animal. I think you should stay a while, because basically everyone here is good people.

Ohhh, westar has been making his name here too? Such a rude little boy in the livebearer section, wasted quite a long time trying to explain to him that he needed another guppy female because his current ones were getting harrassed 24/7 by his male guppys and i ended up been called an ass, apparently most of the experienced livebearer owners who also tried to help him out were also called ass's.
I see now he's been getting quite popular here too ....

Yes indeed. He was very offended when we told him his CT was a VT, and I guess so was this new user

Tokis-Pheonix jus 2 let u kno im not tryin 2 defend him. i can tell he's a very hot headed person, but i mean even i tend 2 slash out @ ppl wen i'm not hearin wat i want 2 hear. i haven't read any of his pst in any other section, but i'm guessin that he was bein intagised. But this totally turnin into somthin bout wwestar........ his post was only 1 of the things that made me rite this post. there were many other ones. i've decided 2 stay in this forum beacause this forum apparently needs to be more even in its members view pionts. I love that people are viewing this topic alot because its something i think should be expressed thoughout everyone.
P.s- i hope im not making any enemies because i defended someones viewpiont that offended alot of people.

Wait - So he got affended because some people thought his betta was a vt? I am so confused......I dont see why people say my betta was somthing other than what it was would upset me......unless it was a betta and people kept calling it a.....goldfish. It would make me upset just because I wouldn't know why everyone else said it was a goldfish while I knew it was a betta. Maybe I was just crazy

I understand where you are coming from and don't worry about making enemys just because you post an opinion, many people here are mature enough not to dislike simply because you are sticking up for somone who has a bad reputation but some people may be worried you are wwestar just using a different acount/username as that can happen with members but you don't sound like you are as he would have called somone an ass by now.

STOP! Man I hear this thing so many times (one of them was mine ) and now my only reaction is humor, no offense. Is there really a forum where EVERYONE is nice? That is a very slim chance Jen. I don't want to be rude or anything but be careful about what you say around here...we bettas lovers can be quite rude sometimes . Breeding bettas is NOT a subject to take lightly. There are many beginners who jump right into breeding without a care about the 50+ frys (if there is any) that might/will die because of poor treatment and because LFS will not accept them. Bettas are living things just like you and me. Have a good day Jen

What's wrong with VT's? When people tell me that y 2 VT's look nice, I take their comments in happily. So this guy got upset because someone told him his betta looked nice? Pretty Strange...
