I'm Finally Sitting Down

So I finally have some time to myself.

Thursday - day off (at least that's what it was laughingly labelled), trip to nursery for 250kg of red gravel, pick up slab, shopping with Mrs and daughter, cook Indian feast for mates Mrs birthday, quick hours tank play at 11pm got sump running.

Friday - Buy turf, another 175kg of red gravel, level ground, lay turf, build herb box, sneaked in quick re-scape at 10pm.

Saturday - Trip to butchers for major meat for bbq, trip to tip, another trip to nursery for another 100kg of red gravel, more plants and some herbs, then to Jewsons for timber to build a cabin step. A lot of mucking about and clearing stuff away. Parents came over and treated us to Chinese yum yum, another quick re-scape at 10.30pm.

Sunday - Party for family big Easter egg hunt for adults and kids alike (where did my Mrs hide ALL that chocolate), lots of time spent spent standing over the bbq and chasing the kids about. Got a chance to set up my TS1250 on the 5ft, and now I have chance to do my journal and get your opinions on my rock work.

Tomorrow I am doing NOTHING!!!

thursday - spent from 6am to 4pm making and selling BBQ meats (butcher ) all day, no break

friday - 7am to 4pm as above (hour lay in for the bank holiday HOORAH!)

saturday - back to 6am but sold out of everything by 2pm.... this was quite a feat as we had alot of stuff to sell..

today - almsot got to chill for the day but then i got ordered to my sisters for a 'family' dinner, this is like work in itself...

tommorow - (my day off (also a bank holiday)) going into work to start setting up as the nipper decided to take the royal wedding week off (if its sunny repeat the above few days) making this week a royal pain in the @rse

My butcher was telling me he had sold over 1000 chicken kebabs from Thursday to Saturday! That's got to be a serious money maker.

aye we must of done something along those lines... must of cleared about 100kg of burgers also and over 200kg of sausages

it has to be worth something for all the times i jabbed myself in the palm with a kebab stick... should put the price up

I cooked more burgers than that this afternoon

There is a solution to the stabbing problem.............a Saturday girl/boy?

The girl at our local Butchers is great, makes all the burgers and deals with all the credit card payments so the butchers can get on with serving. Also most importantly she takes all the abuse and banter that comes with stepping inside a Butchers.

lol tis the other way with us our regulars know that as soon as they come in they will get abused but they always seem to give as good as they get what comes from ahving a family run buisness i suppose... the customers know we are a family and have become a strange extension of it

Same at ours, Father (now semi-retired) and now 2 sons run it, I have a right laugh with them. Of course now I know you're a butcher and the sarcasm/abuse threshold you have I shall take full advantage of it.
