If You Don'T Like The New Layout, Here Is What To Do.

Ok, i love this new layout, everything is clearer and looks better, but i understand some still want the old skin.

There is one thing you can do. This will change the skin back to the old, so it will look just like it did originally, except some layout will be different (not drastically though).

Go down to the veeerryyy bottom of any page and you will see a drop down list which will have the text IP.Board on it (unless you have changed your theme). Open this list and click IP.Board Classic Blue (Import). This will change you back to the old theme.

Well mine somehow went back on it's own unless a stray mouse clik hit that spot

Good call matey as now members can switch back and forth to really feel the comparison.

Shame a Mod didn't suggest this?

Slightly better but nowhere near as good as the really dark board IP you used to be able to choose ( really dark blue/
black )

I just downloaded this skin a few hours ago, so it is a new addition to a 3 day old upgrade.

I don't suppose the really dark one could be added too by any chance ? I really did find that one easier to see. I don't wear glasses but this pale blue and bright white is a real strain on the eye >.<

Flip through the skins on the bottom left, there are a few to choose from.

I always used the old dark blue skin too. My eyes being a contact lens wearer and on Morphine could handle that.

Even the imported skin is too bright for my eyes.

The bright blue on the imported skin is still too a high a contrast for me. Sorry, but thats how my eyes are, I cannot see for more than a few minutes on here without getting serious eye strain.

Will continue to pop back and see if changes have been made, but cannot do any of the options at the moment.

be careful if change your view options i was checking each of them out and now i cant get it to back to the new light blue look

at the bottom where u can change how the site looks it was set to IP.Board and the site had a light blue look to it kinda like the older version but newer. so naturally i looked at the others to check them out and when i went to put it back to IP.Board, it changed from the nice blue, to the layout that was up right after the update, the one with no real color theme that everyone was complaining about. all of the other options work fine, and even when i sign out it goes back to the "new light blue", but when i sign in it goes to the one that we had right after the update.

a final note and im not sure if this matters but i am running firefox with a mac that is running snow leopard

occasionally you need to click "GO" for the skins to change. cant really see why, but there you go  . also "grey lustrous" the box containing Messages, options and profile. is, partially, placed over the search box. this happens in Firefox, Opera and IE8. the icons, in our avatar section, have also vanished. yet the same icons the MODs work. is this permanent or just an effect of tests being done, with MOD privileges turned on?


oh, yeah. in "Midnight Glow" (import) the FishForums.net banner, has a green screen over it. the image probably just needs bringing forward. the image looks like it would through green tinted glasses. also on all three, above, mentioned browsers.
