I have had my L204 for about a month and a half. Over that period i saw him for arround 5 seconds once every two/three days, However over the last week or so hes been out all the time resting on either pieces of my Bogwood or munching on either cucumber or courgette. Dont get me wrong im not complaining i think its great. Has any one else either got a Flash or any other pleco that behaves like this (other than bristlenoses, had them before and was always out).

I have a Clown Pleco, as well as a Rubbernose Pleco. They were very shy at first, and were afraid of my larger fish, such as my Albino Red-Tail Shark. But now they are out pretty much all of the time, mostly sucking the glass and drift wood. ;)

I have a golden nugget plec thats out all the time.

Had him for around a month or two now and he's always out and about the front of the tank

My Flash went from something that I never saw in the first few months(he was just a baby & lived in my bogwood) to a complete show off-always at the front). He is just brilliant & always the one fish that when visitors come to the house always comment on as always so active.

Weird though as I have a baby Zebra plec, & he is now doing the exact same thing. Never saw him for a month & now he is almost 'in your face'(he normally stays with the Flash, might be a case if the Flash is OK, then I won't get eaten)

I just love Flashes- really underated & some have said that they are aggresive, never found that to be the case, just beautiful plecs with a lot of character.

Enjoy!!

I have an L128 that couldnt hide to save his life. I can walk around the tank and he may move a bit, but then he comes right back, chills on sand in fron the tank and stares out of the tank. he is quite a bit territorial though, so he makes sure no one goes in his cave even though he does not use it. My l200 is out a lot less now that i restructed the tank and now there is a bit more hiding places. funny fish really
