I Succumbed!

Ah yes, I have a turkey baster that I used to use when the froggies were in the community tank because my greedy fish would eat all the bloodworms before the frogs found them! I will revert to this method :) Will a betta eat normal tropical fish flakes too then? Will try him with that too.

Should be fine with flakes, that's what my boys seem to prefer above anything else....except when it's bloodworm day!

Just reading through this thread, and wanted to say what wonderful community spirit, to be sending goodies to Tibby :good: :)

It is amazing isn't it :) And I think this part of the forum is much friendlier than the rest, and much more fun!
I hope one day soon I can help someone starting out with some stuff too :)

Lovely kind nutters! :p
I just wish I had something spare to offer people right now... all I have are some spare rocks, and they are not exactly postable! Though if anyone is in the Manchester area and wants some rocks, fist sized and a little bigger, let me know!

hmmm name for ur better

Hes a mustard gas, so how about Sprite?

dunno he reminds me of a sprite bottle lol or Lilt?

Ha ha I drink Sprite all day... :p But I can't call him Sprite cos I have 2 kribs called Spot and Stripe and I will start mixing up names... :p And I can't call him Lilt cos i will start babytalking to him and call him Lilty Wilty and then he will jump out of the tank for sure! :)
Think some more!

:) Not even 24 hours have passed since Phoenixbaby's parcel arrived. I put in a heater, some real plants, an indian almond leaf, a big coconut cave and a terracotta pot. My babay was very happy.... and this morning I have woken up to find he has built me a bubble nest! yay! He must be very pleased with his new furnishings..... :)

That's great news.....glad to hear he's happy with his new surroundings :good:

I am gonna be grinning all day :) Goning to buy him a nice background now, and some nice gravel because me and his white sand do NOT get on! Plus he keeps swishing it all over my little froggies... :p

:) One happy betta! I stuck on a blue background, and rearranged the filter, heater and light a little so it doesn't look as cluttered. Left a thin layer of white sand in the bottom of the tank and then added some small fine gravel to the top. I got a new plant too, dunno what it is but it is a real centrepiece! Big leaves. Put in the bettas large coconut cave, and the frogs tiny one, a few terracotta pots and a shell that the betta likes to swim through, plus my indian almond leaf. The in went the family! Frogs are in their cave sulking but my betta is swimming around investigating, looking very pleased with himself! His fins and tail are fully fanned out, and he looks proud! :p He really likes the new plant and is swimming in and out of the leaves. I think the froggies will like this too when they stop sulking, they will be able to climb up this plant! All my plants are now real and embedded in the sand below the gravel, hoping this keeps them in place better!
Pics later or tomorrow, hoping the froggies make an appearance :)
