I just bought a 29

I just bought a 29 gal aquarium, another Betta and 3 more Platies......I am trying to figure out how I can hide the new purchases from my husband. He drives a truck so he is gone two nights a week....any ideas??? ...It's become so bad that the people at work call me the "crazy fish lady" but I used to be the crazy cat lady so I guess that is a good thing......

Seriously, I am going to get the tank set up and get it running and I may be on here in a week or two for advice on what to stock it with.

Maybe I can just throw a bunch of laundry over it when he is home and he won't notice or I could make my kids stand in front of it..........LOL

Actually, I'm planning on getting a 20 gallon long tank to go along with my 29 gallon. I don't really have convenient space for it, but when the obsession starts, you make all sorts of accomodations...

I know what you mean......I am thinking about getting rid of my dressing table in our bedroom so I can put the aquarium where I can see it in the mornings while I drink coffee.......I have been going over all of the furniture in the bedroom, but I think that is the only thing I can adjust and do without

Give him a guilt trip...."but hunny,I get lonely when you're not here,don't you want me to be happy and have something to do to pass the time?"

Guilt always works. So do tears,you could always save that as a last resort!

Well........he did go out and buy lumber today to start building "his" new shop for all of his "power tools" . So I guess right now he shouldn't have any room to talk.....except he complains that I am nicer to my pets than I am my family.....I don't know where he could have come up with that.....

thanks.....well I made it almost home and decided that I needed to stop and get another 10 gal for the Betta ...... And he wasn't upset at all.....He even put the stands together for me ...... I also let him have the new 10 gal on his side of the room and he made the kids haul all the water to help me fill them up.....I was shocked...... Gotta love that man...he's great
