What a dilemma - so if I got 2 more females would that solve the hassling problem but then run the risk of having babies galore?Annastasia said:Yes, I am. They could eventually start really wanting to breed with her, and stress her out very much. A stressed out fish isn't a happy one, and they can be more prone to disease. I think for the sake of her, take her back, or get more females.

You might need more then 2, because that's only one female per male. It's best to have at least 2 per male. And yes, you will be totally over-run with fry...unless you let the parents eat them. And even then, you could still be over-run. Hard decision...but seeing as I've had tons of fry, and know the problems with being over-run, I'd take back the female. I know it's a hard decision, I've been through it.
