I wouldn't skimp on test kits personally, the API kits are terrible in comparison to the Saliferts, the Saliferts are well worth the extra £1 or so.

Weez, get your test kits sorted first before you add anything else. Even another Clown.

While your getting your kits sorted that will give your lfs chance to get their new batch of clowns QT'd and settled and give you a chance to monitor them and look for....................................ahem! lumps!

I have salifert tests just not an amm. They tested tho and everything is aok. Nothing there.

I dont want the commons, too big. Yes I was impatient but he assured me he would be ok. Clearly he wasnt. Now he claims that he told me that in the first place! Now you all know I worry way too much so I must have asked him 10 times your sure he will be ok. Stupidly took his word for it. Considering it would be prob another month for any smaller ones to come in that is why I went for these. My mum is already on my back about an empty tank so another month with it empty I just wouldnt hear the end of it. I know this might mean nothing to some but it is hard to live with.

could you not put in a few chromis (to calm yer mum down) i think they are just a couple of quid each, dont know an awful lot about them as i haven't even thought about fish yet, must say tho that i dont understand your mum, surely she knows if a thing is worth doing its worth doing properly, and that when you explained to her that it has to be done the right way she would understand, and i'm not dissing your mum coz obviously i dont know her, but i really dont get her

chromis are a no for me. I wanted them originally but I am sticking to my stocking list. They spread aggresion between them and its hit and miss on whether they will kill each other or not.

i dont know, but it could get lonely, thats a big tank with no one for it to interact with except for some rocks and maybe a candy apple zoa

If you have a test kit for amm and trite then that should complete your test kits for now.

Get your lfs to replace the clown weez. Preferably with a good one.

Just out of interest is there any chance you could post your latest stats. Don't worry about calcium and mag as you don't need to worry about them so much yet. Just the main ones Inc ph and sg.

I will see what they say tomorrow if not I will just have to buy one. Problem is Im not sure I want one from the ones that were left. A couple had too much black on them and he said they would get more black.

Hes looking ok this guy, eating fine but swims up front a little but then goes to a corner. I feel so bad for him

Weeza, we all do domething similar in our salty journey, dont feel bad, just learn from it and move on Looking forward to seeing some photos of two clowns

A good tip:

Spend ten minutes just watching the clowns - if there are fish in there that have what look like a parasite, bumps, lumps, cuts, fuzzy things or not swimming right, then dont buy a fish from the system - walk away, even though you want them soooooo much.
