I Did A Bad,bad Thing...

I'll try to get some nice shots tonight, Ms. Sukie! It's time to update my lil diary anyway since it's right at five months old today. Everything is doing really well, except I have some hydroids popping up the last couple of months....and some aiptasia that I need to destroy tonight. I am a lil bummed about my red macroalgae. I brought both pieces up to my lfs yesterday after I did some rearranging and decided they were just too big for my little tank. They're holding them for me in a beautiful display tank, so at least I still get to watch them grow. I'll move em to my 100 gallon in the near future. In the meantime they are welcome to frag off of them. But my tank looks so meh now that they're gone!

Thanks for the links, miagi. I'll definitely look through them later this evening.

I actually fell victim to the same exact scenario at my LFS when i bought unfortunatly even harder to keep sister coral Goniopora. That was the first time a had ever bought a coral without reaserching and it happened to be Goniopora. My LFs did not tell anything about it but i have managed to keep it alive for about 3 weeks now so good luck to you.

Yes, it was pretty expensive, but not too bad. I wanna see yours, nate! I lurve mine, it's really quite beautiful and doing very well.

I've been waiting for this green star polyp I bought over a WEEK ago to open up so I can take tank pictures for an update. This stupid thing is frustrating me to no end. Right now it's out more than it has been since I bought it...but seriously I'm talking like one or two bits of green popping out. It needs to get over the move already  Thankfully it's just a bitty $10 piece, I'd be extremely disappointed if I paid like 40 bucks to look at something so...dull.

ive seen chunks of star polyps and other xenias that look in a really bad way, yet have sprung back into life a few weeks down the line. Does the tissue of the polyp structure look damaged or is it all still intact? If it is still looking well despite not being out then give it time and it should come back fine.
