How’s the weather?

Here is what we got. For some reason I always take a shot of the first snow... First image is now. Second is my favorite first snow shot and is from 2018. I think it looks like it could be a post card. ;) Most of my 'first snow' shots are at night as often the next day it is warm enough to melt.

I miss Sheridan. Such a beautiful town.

The south of England and northern France has been battered overnight by another storm with the Channels Islands having wind gusts of 102 mph and being "cut off" to quote some reports. Here in north east England we've had a lot of rain overnight with more forecast for this afternoon but not much in the way of wind.

Landed from Bali into Heathrow this morning, the change in weather is quite something! Had a power cut at home at some point overnight a day my filter didn't kick back in, luckily it was only like that for a few hours at most before I made it back home and sorted it out.

Yep, snowing like crazy here, too.
So far our snow has been very light. Started in the wee hours of the morning and you can still see the tips of the grass. Snow isn't supposed until around 7:00 AM Friday so who knows what it may end up. :dunno: Saturday is supposed to be around 35 then back to mid 40s and some 50s so the snow won't stay around long.

You hear that phrase all the time but how is snow crazy ? It falls according to gravity's law and forms like any other precipitation . I’m not getting the crazy part . Now if you were to say it was snowing like two hyenas in a bird cage I could understand that .

Generally means the snow is falling sideways instead of straight down, and it's hard to see across the street. But I agree that two hyenas in a bird cage is a much more powerful mental image.

It’s been a very warm and dry late fall here in the American West . Nothing makes me think that’s going to change but you never know . A snowless winter bodes ill for Montana because we are entirely dependent on snowpack for water in the rivers . Today it’s supposed to be 60 degrees Fahrenheit . It was 61 , officially , yesterday .

We've had snow (with a yellow snow and ice warning) followed by rain (with a yellow rain warning) which washed all the snow away. Today we have sun and freezing temperatures. All in under a week. The garden is sodden; the flower/shrub beds are full of water and walking on the lawn is like walking on a wet sponge.
Tonight's temperature is forecast to be several degrees warmer than midday today and more rain again tomorrow :(

It’s rained for about 35+ hours straight and estimated to continue for two more days. A lot of flooding happening. People getting stranded in flash floods
