How Often to Feed?

i feed 2 times aday blood worms 1 a week in tank one the other doesent have fish
in yet

Hey Stevie, I'm not being a smartass, I just hear this all the time about fish and don't think it's true, having never seen fish do this. Constipated yes, but I think that would have more to do with the type of food (since most people give a main staple food that is dry, which I can understand getting constipation from) and not the fish actually overeating. And I already know about the toxins getting swept away in a river, so calm down.

AND STOP WRITING IN ALL CAPS AS THAT GIVES THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU ARE YELLING CONSTANTLY, NOT TO MENTION IT STARTS TO HURT THE EYES.

And I agree with what others have said, you'll figure out how much they can eat pretty fast, just pay attention to them when you feed them. :)

i feed my fish once every other day, and was told to by Kevin from Kevins Aquatics here in Langley. (FYI, its Skye, from the Langley Petsmart.... hi! B) )
Hi Skye,

Thanks for the help - you've helped me in the store a couple of times as well but I never seem to catch you there. Now I know when to find you... I got the feeding advice from Kevin as well, so I'll take your post as a vote of confidence for him.

Thanks to everyone else who responded too - I appreciate all the help!

I feed once a day. Right after my dinner. I give them enough to eat without a ton falling to the bottom. I see them eating the algea and whatnot off my plants and rocks, so I know they are getting more food that way.

I sometime leave them for a day without any food.....and it never seems to harm them .....I think it gives them time to detox as I think fish will eat whether they are hungry or not....
