As you can see, there is no set schedule on how to feed and therefore, no correct one answer. There are multiple feeding principles that you CAN gather from this post:
1) only feed what your fish will consume in a brief period of time, usually 1-2 minutes
2) know your fish and it's requirements and feed it what it requires to stay healthy
3) vary your fish's diet if possible to ensure it gets all it's required vitamins and nutrients
4) observe your tank for any signs of overfeeding (algae growth, rising nitrates, etc)
5) in the wild, fish must scavenge and hunt for food. Many won't be hurt or die if not fed for a day or two.
6) if you have nocturnal fish, make sure you get food to them after lights out, and, if you have bottom feeders, make you get food that will sink to the bottom.
Have fun (BTW, I feed once a day and from time to time will skip a day to keep waste/bioload down). SH
