Do LFS take the risk of buying fish from an unknown source?
I wouldnt be happy knowing the fish I was buying were bred buy (no offence meant) some kid.
How would the LFS know that they were disease free and weren't hybrids?
they would be smart and know it's a krib and look for signs of ich, velvet ect... IMO they would take them, coz i asked before and they said that they sell home bred fish for more money than fish farm wholesalers, coz they probably shuve some weird chemicals in there to make them breed often at the fish farmsand

In that case why are you asking us how much that particular shop will pay for them?, go ask them!!
I've had several very good LFS managers say they like home/locally bred fish as they tend to be hardier. They will only take them off people they know though.
John, you are not gonna make money with kribs but they are nice fish to learn with.

but that is the whole point m8, prices differ from shop to shop as i mentioned in the thread earlier, shops that sell them at £10 will obviously pay more than a shop thats sells them for £3... there is no average price when it comes to common easy to get fish.
