How do you charge shipping costs over a forum like this??

No ! You have to be a hard nosed Mr. Scrooge here. Right up front let them know that all orders are at the buyers risk. There is absolutely nothing that you can guarantee and if you even so much as hint of a possible or maybe guarantee most people will whine and cry you to death until you give in just to shut them up. Serious buyers know the risks and will take those risks or they won't. Deal only with those people.
That seems like a bad idea though... Especially me being a beginner at shipping.
I don't want them to waste their money. Imagine if I bought it and they arrived dead. I'd want some compensation

@Rocky998 Here's how I feel about it. This is just me personally. When I got my new Killies last summer I took my chances. When the guy sent them to me they left his control. I had not received them yet and they were outside my control. The Post Office handles , literally , millions of pieces of mail daily. Deadlines make things hectic for them. I saw this with my own eyes when I worked air cargo. It could actually be described as a battle. Knowing that I threw the dice and took my chances. If they would have all arrived dead I would have been bummed out but not surprised. I lucked out and they all made it. I figure I beat the odds and next time might be different. I usually don't like to mail order fish but I couldn't resist these Killies. Store bought fish that you see before you buy is the best way to go.

I totally have to agree with this. I always mark down that the shipping itself is always full of risks. So, I notify beforehand that all risks involved are at the buyer's risk. For even with the most trustworthy courier, there are always risks involved. No matter wether the shipping period is short or long. Even a 1-day delivery has got its own risks.

But I also have to admit that this does work on your conscience if something goes wrong.

I'm 17 lol...

But thank you all for your knowledge!
Definitely a lot to think about...
Thanks a lot! Seriously...
