How do you sex a goldfish? At what age/size do they breed?

I have a small, maybe 6cm (excluding tail) goldfish. Not sure of the type. It's shubunkin coloured (silver with black spots and red patches) and has a long comet type tail.

Only way I can see for sure if you have 2 goldfish of different sexes. Male will have Tubericules on it's gill plate and female will be very plump w/ eggs.

Yep!!... Tubercles on the Gillplates and plumpness of the female... Then also... the first ray of the dorsal fin on the male... has more rigids...

Only have 1 goldfish so can't compare. It has never been kept with other godfish so unlikely to be producing eggs even if female. What are tubercules on gills and what do they look like in male goldies?

I have a male and female goldfish. Male how breeding things on the gill plate, there just like little white circles.
someties teh male has a longer body and females have smaller fat bodies.
Also they'll onyl breed when they think the tank is big enough to reaise fry, when the weathers warmer and when there happy to with eachother.
