The horses were giddy about the warm weather today, so I snapped some pictures. :)

Cloudy says "Heeeeey!"

They are cute i have to say, my wife LOVES horses (as im pretty sure you know....'Judemacaroni' on the forum?)....why do i get the feeling she will show me this thread later saying "please Mick..." :X

Great Pics again, mine where well hyped up today in the sun but it looks so funny when you have a 16.2 and a 32" dashing around playing and rearing up

Yes I am jealous!

I am having such severe horse withdrawals that I was looking wistfully at a dungheap the other day thinking "I would love to have heap to tidy!" I used to take sucha pride in my work!

So Mick PLEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSEEE!!!!?

:-(

 What cuties they are

So do you just keep them as "pets" - or do you show them too ?

A lot of them get shown, and I also breed and board and train for people...so not all of them are mine. But they all earn their keep somehow!

A few more cute pictures from today. All of boys (not counting babies):

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

They are soooo cute ! They all look like naughty playful children

So are the horses your "main line of business" then ? Or just a sideline hobby ? Do you have larger ones you ride too ? I seem to remember you've posted some larger horsie pics before, but can't remember if they were your own.

Haha, they look like they were having a fantastic time!

Horses are my main hobby, and the family business. Not quite my business yet though, as I'm still in community college classes and living at home. And yes, I have bigger ones we ride too. My mother is very involved in training/boarding/teaching lessons with the larger ones, while I do more with the Minis. :)

We had a quite a scare though, today, with my little guys. Someone was at the farm looking at the Minis, and they didn't latch a gate. My dog pushed it open, and we had two horses running down the street. It took about 30 minutes to get them back in. They ran into the woods once, which was quite scary!! :X

I used to help at a riding for the disabled centre in glasgow and the Neds one day saw fit to let the horse out of the fields, we spent most of the morning trying to round them up through housing estates and found most of the 15 that made the bid for freedom at the local supermarket!?

Was really worrying cause there was so much traffic and they really weren't far away from a very busy main road! Glad you got yours back safely!

Still that was some of the least worrying things they did to our ponies! Came out one morning to find a 15hh cob that had graffiti all over it! Lucky it was just poster paint and washed off! Just goes to show the placid natures of RDA Ponies!!

Judmacaroni, that must have been hard! Especially with full size horses, and not Minis. I've had a draft get loose on me once though. She ran down the street, and a guy with his car came over the hill and just stared at this 17.2 horse cantering down the street towards him. I had to laugh, the look on his face was priceless.

Thanks Puffer and Wendy. Harley just puts up with it. He's used to it. You should see him with the newborn foals, they all go over to him like "Who the heck are you?" and proceed to (usually) fall on him, or bite/kick/chase him. He's so abused.

I can imagine the look I used to have a 17hh Clyde and he generally inspired that look from most motorists when we were heading down the main road or stopped at traffic lights!! Mind you at least they respected him! Have never felt safe on roads on anything smaller since having him! People have no sense but I am starting to rant so I shall shut up!!
