Help with DIY tank

OK, I've decided that I am going to make my own tank, and it will be 3 feet by 2 feet by 18 inches. What thinkness of glass should it be? Its roughly the same size as my 33 gallon.

why not jsut go buy a 30 gallon all-glass aquarium man it'll save you alot of greef

As long as it is all braced well, then 8mm if its 18" water depth and 10mm if its 24" water depth. Like fufanu360 said, it is a lot easyer to but one ready built. its not as easy as you think.

Are you talking about 33 in euro gals?
Because I have a 33 gal that's 3feet by 12 inchs by 18inchs (might be 20 can't remember off hand) that is 33 gal.
I think what your looking at is at least a 45 gal which I would suggest checking out walmart (very cheep tank kinda like a pet store without a walmart)

I love the way you guy's say oh don't bother to do it DIY go buy one, if I wanted to buy a tank the only places that I have seen they cost 100's of pound to get anything of a descent size! or are you talking second hand?
