As for the colour, it won't be a white light but a yellow one instead, and has a Kelvin rating of only 2700K. So should I use these bulbs or get something else? What else could I use in a 5 gallon?
Only reason I'm using those is because I just have them lying around I know how the colour looks like, and my plants grew surprisingly well when I was using the bulbs in my
old 10 gallon when I didn't know much about lights. I know that for smaller tanks the WPG rule doesn't work, so now with 30 watts over a 5 gallon that should make for 6 WPG so I think that should be enough for my planned "planted tank" which I plan on getting java moss and java fern for.
