I just set up a bowl at my desk in office with two goldfish, they have been at home that last few days and have been fine. I placed them in the bowl, added slightly warmish water, treated the water with a conditioner, allowed them to adjust in their baggie for a bit and put them in about 2 hours ago. Now one of them is standing on his tail on the bottom popinting straight up! He does occasionally swim around and then goes back to the tail stand. What is this indicative of? And so quickly? Thanks.

As a general rule, a person should have 10 gallons of water per goldfish, and believe me, they'll grow to fit it! Also, goldfish poop like crazy, so a small bowl would become polluted much faster than a bigger one.
