help on feeding

Is there anything i can feed my fish (which they will enjoy good for them)

i no they can have peas but they dont real bother with them




any help plz

My fish seem to love and devour frozen bloodworms, and live baby brine shrimp... I thought they might not be very popular because they are so tiny, and my fish are getting fairly big, but sure enough, every time I put the live ones in , they swarm happily and pig out. They also devour the algae thins sinking food before the bottom fish can even get a nibble..
I would say mostly give the flakes, with worms and shrimp maybe twice a week or so for a snack.. hatching the shrimp is pretty easy, and they seem to love them... research says that the baby brine shrimp are only good for them within the first 24hrs of life while they still have a yolk sac attached, but many people feed them frozen brine shrimp which are larger, so you could try that as well...

You don't say where abouts in the UK you are, but most of the LFS I have visited in the UK sell live food. You also don't say what type of fish you have?

You may have to ask when they get them in, as they will usually all go within a day or two, so time your visit right. Usually these are bloodworm, brine shrimp, daphina etc.

As tishy said, there is also frozen food, which is usually frozen varieties of the above and can be kept in your freezer for as and when.

However, variety is the spice of life, so mix and match what you give your fish (within reason......) and thats sure to keep them happy! Just remember that some fish can be picky eaters and some have a direct intolerance to some foods.

Shelled peas are good once in a while to clear out your fish - they are the aquatic laxatives!

Cucumber alot of fish love it. Specially my loaches and pleco. I even feed them papaya yesterday. My sevy seems to like it alot.
