Help! Fry Alert!

even so, it will stress them if they don't have places to hide, and sometimes they'll argue with each other too. My fry hide under the plastic frame too, I used to wonder where they went :D But after awhile, they realized they were safe and didn't hide under there anymore.

Haha Yeah I've been checking on them now and then and wondering "Where did my babies go??" but they're just hiding :3
I don't have any floating plants, but I do have a tiny little plastic plant I could put in there, would that work? :)
Actually I have some fake grass stems too, they float, should I try those instead?
They're also not really eating much, they ate this morning when I had them in a fish bowl (it was SO adorable!!), will they start to show more of an appetite later on?

Also, I just did a water test, the ammonia has gone down :) It's not 0.25 ppm anymore, but it's still not 0 :( The colour of the test was a VERY VERY light green and pretty much yellow... but still not the bright yellow on the chart. Almost though :)

Some of the bacteria from the bag got into the gravel, should I skip doing a deep gravel cleaning next time I change the water?

a plastic plant would work :)
Yep, they should be gobbling up food more soon! (you might not actually realize their eating with their tiny mouths, but indeed they are, you will be able to tell by their stomachs)

Ammonia going down is good!

I would still do a pretty good job of gravel cleaning, most of the bacteria will be in the filter media and the ammonia comes from fish poop anyway, so if you don't clean your gravel, then all the ammonia will accumulate in your gravel (since your filter cannot possibly process 100% of the fish poop)

Alrighty :good: I put in both the floating grass and the little bush in just to give them a choice :p haha
When I put them in they came out of hiding to look, but then went back under the frame lol

You're very right! They could be and I just don't notice :) They are super tiny after all! I'll try not to worry about it :3
How fast do they grow usually?

Okay :) I was planning on doing a light gravel cleaning to get the poop, but I'll just go ahead and clean everything like usual ^_^

After a few days, they should stop hiding under there :good:

To be honest, I have no idea how fast they grow. I think some say 4 weeks and they can be let out into the main tank. they grow faster if you do lots of water changes though.

Good to know! ^_^

Hehe alrighty :3 I guess I'll just let them out when they look big enough to not be eaten :p
