Hi there all.

Hope to get some good advice as well as give it if i can.

I have kept and bred them successfully before in the past. Unfortunatley I had to get rid of everything that i had due to a split with an old partner.

I have now started again and came across this forum, hopefully it will be a valuble asset to aiding in the knowledge of fish keeping.

you can find everything you need to know on here, everyone knows something new, what fish do you keep? do you specailize in anything?

At the moment i am only playing about with different varieties of fish trying to refresh the grey matter thats lay dormant for a while.

The fish i have so far are,

6 Poecilia sphenops (Black Mollies 2 male 4 female + 10 new fry in tank)
5 Poecilia reticulata (Guppies 2 male 3 female + 9 new fry in tank)
2 Gyrinocheilus (sucking loach male + female )
1 Paracheirodon innesi (neon tetra)
1 Ancistus sp (bristlenose catfish 8 inches long)

The tank was setup 3 months ago due to a friend moving abroad. I was quite lucky in a way as it was basicaly a new setup the only difference was that all the neccesary bacteria was already present in the tank.

I am thinking of getting into breeding bichirs (Polypterus palmas and polypterus ornatipinnis) as i think they are a wonderfull and extremley unusual fish. I have noticed they are not suplied by most aquariums/aquatic stockists around here.

A full tank setup can be found on my post about a white spot problem i have which is bugging the hell out of me. clik here for post
