hello people who like assorted tropical fish including: betas, axolotls, brine shrimp (sea monkeys), velociraptors, flamethrowers, and likely anime

I am half afraid of Lionfish, with all those spikes, but I also half want one. It is sad how invasive they are, and the damage they are doing. I have never tasted one before ? but I agree that there is no harm in responsible fishkeepers enjoying invasive or destructive species in their tanks, the harm is when they are released

I wondered that...

If I went to clean the tank, I wouldn’t want to get spiked by that guy! ?

I've noticed something about tropical fish people over the years. All of them are rabid animal lovers. Lovers of every and any kind of animal. I am still hung up on the Bearded Dragon lizards I want but have not yet acquired. Someday. @PheonixKingZ is right. It's not the animals that have escaped into wild and were fruitful and multiplied that are the problem. It's irresponsible people. Many people want some pet as a spur of the moment whim and soon tire of it and, feeling sorry for it, they set it free. Tropical fish people are different. It takes a lot of effort and time to set up an aquarium and have it work. Those people take care of their animals properly.

It’s a shame people think releasing a fish to the wild is a good option. There’s been numerous times snorkeling on the reefs here (Maui) and you see a fish you know doesn’t belong and only got here cause some idiot didn’t want it in their tank anymore. Luckily, it’s only been a solitary animal the times I’ve seen them, so reproduction is tougher

They are not awful creatures.

It’s just like Pleco: Is it their fault that were released in the wild and now have taken over the local ecosystem? No.

It’s like saying anacondas are bad, because they have taken over Florida. The humans are bad that out them there.
Happy day...I stand corrected. They are doing what they were designed to do, and the fact that I dislike the outcome is not their fault. They are tasty, though :)
