Usually I just ignore the wriiten ads at the top of my screen (selective blindness ), but now I am going to have a heap of fun seeing how much the ads change as I shift from page to page....even just getting to this last page in this thread the ads have changed each time. I say have fun with the ads (well as best you can with some of the smutty stuff that is now being plastered all over a previously family friendly forum), and have a go at discovering the most random ad.
Even create a thread with one ad and then try to join the dots for how the next ad got selected to appear....thinking outside of the box will win points .

But in all seriosness I am disapointed in the direction TFF has gone, and the loss of so many great mods who worked for the benefit of the members and for the love of fish and plants and not for a quick easy buck. I wonder how many parents there are that currently allowing their children (teens/ young adults/ preteens) to use this site for fish information, will see the smutty ads and decide the site is no longer welcome in their household?

I am lucky most of my computer/ internet stuff is plant, animal, fish or ceramic ornament related while my husband mostly just plays some online game.....not sure how hot water systems fall into that catogory

move to firefox. chrom?, g??gle search and ie are amongst the most sophisticated bits of spy-ware, on the planet.
activate all the precautions he's mentioned. not only will you looser the ad's here. you will protect yourself everywhere.

The idea that the adverts link to your search history is rubbish to be honest.

I search for local slags all the time and yet all I get on here is adverts for parcel2go & pet insurance.

Me too although i go for the unwashed ones. Havent seen an advert for Dove yet.
