According to my 2 year old strip tests the tank water is as follows.

Ammonia: 6+. It was a dark blue.
Nitrite: 3-4
Nitrate: zilch
Ph: 6.5-7

Would not put much stock in that strip test.

Might be ok although might be way off! Just don't trust 'em!

Yeah, best to chase the courier or company to ask about your test kit!

Jings, I'm a bit late, sorry TT, I haven't even wished you a happy birthday!

Happy Birthday!

Sorry about Sheldon...

I put a couple ramshorns in my assassin tank and two of them were dead within a few hours.

Test kit is still not here. Courier is trying to find it. They emailed me telling me they delivered it to WEstern Australia.

A tiny snail has grown to the point where I can I.D it as a pond snail. Should I squish him now or let him keep the tank company?

Spare him or eat him, your choice.

This is big. Very big. Extremely big. Ok, maybe not extremely big but it's pretty big  .

My GF has gone out and bought a beta tank!!! :D
It's 8 gallon biorb flow. It's the kind that's a square and not a sphere so it should be a decent size for a beta. Now, it is her tank and she's planning on doing a fish in cycle. Considering we both have no job we should be able to keep up with the water changes lol. We are just waiting on that bloody test kit!
Pics are to come. We're heading to LFS today to get some stuff for our new tank and maybe pic up a test kit cos we're both so sick of waiting. I think she wants a orange- red plakat betta but we'll have to wait until she sees his li'l face I guess.

I'm so psyched! :D

any way of stoping her? a fish in cyle makes the fish suffer and it could even die.
EDIT: thanks for clearing that up.

Forgot to mention that I'll be seeding the tank with media from my big tank. :)
