they were born 6th feb still look like little tadpoles but just a bigger version

in my tank there is

platy x2
guppy x2
white clouds x 8
white skirt x 4

and thats it its a 75g do you think they could go in yet

the babies are currently in a 10 gallon

unheated but in front of a heat source fed 3 times a day just on flakes

my lfs said this should be ok

also my white skirts seem to fight amongst them selves its like they all have there own spot and if one strays into anothers it gets rammed

babies are about 1.5 cm ish maybe a bit less and there are a few even smaller ones if there is a chance they could get eaten i think i would rather leave it for longer i would hate any of them to get eaten im very attached

biggest fish in tank are 1 platy(preggers) and 1 white skirt both about 2 inches

any thoughts?

If they fit into your fish's mouth chances are they will be eaten. My tank as small community fish in it but my fry are fine in there at 6 weeks old.

What brand of food do you feed them?
If you want them to grow quicker get some proper fry food and try to feed the small live or frozen foods something like daphnia or microworms or artemia. This should speed up their growth.( 5teady has a microworm cultures for sale http://www.w-and-s-bettas.we.bs/ vist fry foods section.)

umm it so intresting been on a forum like this for me as i always keep my aquarium experiance to my self but i share some any who! to make sure that your fry/baby fish grows faster on dry food see if you can get your hands on frozen dry bloodworm and crumble them into powders to feed the fry the only problem is that frozen dry bloodworm cost more then normal flake foods but it well worth. if you are will to spend even more money to get the best fry food i recomend buying briane shrump eggs and hatch them and then feed newly hatched briane shrump the the fry to maximise the growth process. :good:

I just took a quick look at my fry tank. The 2 1/2 week old mollies are about 1.5 cm, the 4 week old platies are about 2 cm. I feed mostly flake for a balanced diet but they also get grozen daphnis and frozen blood worms. The blood worms are a challenge for them to eat but they work at it. Variety is the way to get fry moving. No one food alone will get the growth of a varied diet.
