Well.... I used to have snails in my tank, I had 3 apple snails and 4 red ramshorn snails. They had alot of food and left the plants alone, I then found a copy of tiny little holes in my plants, then a few more. I took the snails out fearing it was them eating the plants, which was weird because they had never done it before.
They have been in another tank for a couple of weeks now and I have just found about 80 tiny apple snails in my tank and a malaysian trumpet snail!? This must be were my plants have been disappearing to.
Just wondering, roughly how many eggs do they lay in 1 sitting? There are some small snails and some tiny tiny snails so I'm assuming they are 2 different batches. Also is putting cucumber in the best way to bring the snails out so I can catch them or is there a better way. I've literally just finish sorting my tank out and don't want these little buggers ruining it.
Would an assassin snail eat my plants or would they just go for the snails? Or is there a fish I can get to do the job.
