Softening my stance on snails

I love snails but our water is too soft and they don’t survive. Probably about to jinx myself but never had a problem with pest snails, it’s hard enough keeping the one I do have alive.

What other fish do you have in the tank? If they are ones that like soft water you are sort of out of luck but, if the fish can handle a higher PH you could add crunched shells tom add calcium to the tank which could help the snails develope healthy shells.
