Gouramie People - List Your Names.

I swear you put fish viagra in the water of all your tanks or something!

I've been assigned to... (actually voluntered) to host you in the Anabantoids section. (by virtue of having bred (almost) any and every Anabantoid available to the "common" aquatic market.

This section is currently running like a well oiled machine and does not need much intervening to make it run any better with few unanswered questions and even some "hot" topics listed on the front page..

In order for me to evaluate a (ground) basis of needs, ("Gouramie of the month".... or any other Gouramie (anabantoid) related achievements/features), I need to know if we have enough "Gouramie people" to enhance this section with special topics or sections.

If you are a Gouramie person.... Come up with suggestions of what you would like to see happen in this section or at least tell me that you are a Gouramie person.... That'll help me in deciding how much "intervention" is required in this section.

im a gourami person. i have 3 of em, all dwarfs. 1 male 2 females. great fish they are.

One of my Honeys has Dropsy, Im so gutted.

Ouch... Sorry about that James.... I've never been successfull with treating dropsy, (allthough I've heard of some ppl who claims success..... so maybe all is not lost!

You Gouramie people are really doing me proud!!... this section is running like a well oiled machine... not much (if any) intervention is required... keep it up folks!... and let's just make sure that all requests (and questions) are answered without delay....... Thanks all for your contribution!

She's gone now im afriad, to a better place. Still got the one remaining. Not much you can do when your fish gets the deadly dropsy.

James.

Hello my fellow gourami keeprs :good:

I have 5 honey gouramies in my aquarium. Three are yellow honeys and the other two are the red colour morph. The honey male has gone from quite a pale whitish colour and now has a neon greeny blue tint on his face, sunset orange body, bright yellow fins, and a dark band running across his lower half. The yellow females have also gained a more sunset yellow/orange tint but are not as vivid. The male is called Bannus the two females, Ferry-umm and Treelah. The two red honeys have yet to be named as my niece (who names all my fish) can't distinguish between the two. I would have included some pics but I haven't quite got the hang of taking decent aquarium pics just yet.

My condolences.

Hi & welcome Londonguy... once you get your pics sorted out.... have a look at our Gourami inventory in the pinned section above and add them there.

James I lost my female Honey last week too :(

I think she had some kind of internal bacterial infection but I'm not sure to be honest.

*sneaks in passed the bouncer with my sorority*

Serious note, I'm a supporter and have a suggestion, what about a monthly comp 'Gourami of the month', like with TOTM but with member's Gouramis?

Gutted about mine, I noticed how big she was and the pinecones and felt real sorry for her. It knocked me slightly queezy to be honest. I found her when the damage was done I feel, they are a lovely fish as with all Gouramies.

Sorry to also hear your loss.

James.
