random_152.jpgHi Guys, in my coldwater quarium my largest fish tango has lost her colour.. this happened when i was new to fish keeping about a year ago when i had her and another fish a shubumkin in a approx 50l tank,it was filtered and had lots of light etc but she just went half white overnight. ive since got a juwel Rio 240 and this has been set up for almost a year as a happy aquarium and tangos a very happy healthy fish and shes grown huge, just wandered if anyone knew why she went white?? thanks :)

fish do change colour as they mature and she may do so again.

that will explaine why my white oranda has started getting orang! there like vise versas! as long as i know its not a health problem , she seems happy enough and shes growing lots :) thanks

mine got the tips of the fins black is that normal to??????

If that colouration is new, that sounds like ammonia burns, or maybe finrot. Do you do regular water changes and check your water stats? Hope your fish turns out ok. On the other hand, it could be natural colouration if the fish has always had the black patches.

my mums gold fishes belly went silver after shed had it it for about a cople of year and it lived 13 years after that

when they suddenly turn black, it is usually ammonia. My orange one started to turn black, I changed the water and he returned to orange again.

hello again
I think I have a problem with my goldfish in the pond
they are getting the tips of the fins black
I read some where that they are recuperating from amonia burns. I's that true?
I will do a 25% water change tomorrow in case of the amonia.

other than that I do not know what to do

any info on this will help thankyou!!

Firstly you shouldn't thread hijack and secondly do the general water stats test (nitrite/ nitrate/ ammonia) thirdly if the results are normal then its probably just your fish changing colour naturally and nothing to worry about.
