Going From 2 Water Changes A Week To Just 1?

Hi All,
 
As my fish are young and my tank has not been running for that long, is it possible to ever go to 1 water change a week??
 
I don't mind buying a bigger bucket etc......
 
Just im worried about spikes etc??
 
Not sure if its possible?/

Most people only do one change a week.

The important thing is that you're removing nitrates more than they build up, so if you go to one change, you may need to do a bigger change.

o right i see what you mean. im doing 20% wednesday and saturday.
 
i suppose if i buy a 60litre bucket i can drop to just one a week.

You could just fill up the bucket twice

One 25% weekly water change is more than sufficient.
