Sometimes friends are not to be trusted with animals...... :grr:

Some of you saw my other post " Run Ginxy Run" I needed to vent to someone as I was never able to really tell her story.

Ginxy was a kitten I bred in 2005, she was not show quality so normally I rehome them free of charge on the conditions that the new owner sign my contract which states the animal may not be bred from , have regular vet checks etc. as any responsible breeder would do. My good friend showed interest in her so I let them have her without hesitation.

After a few months I starting getting questions like " How much would her babies be worth?" it was then I started to get suspicious...so I demanded they have her spayed. Well we sort of stopped talking until one day I get a phone call to say she was on call and their Moggy would not stop humping her. Of course I was livid. Swore a bit and then put the phone down.

Ginxy became pregnant and at half term she was as big as a full term pregnancy. Mind you this cat was only 7 months old. :shout: idiots!

I got a call to say she was having her kittens and would not take care of them so I went over and to my horror she was thrown in a tiny bathroom with a cardboard box with NO bedding and her kittens were all over the floor. -_- They had been left for so long that the kittens were stuck to the floor by their placentas and could only move in the tiny circle that the length of the cord allowed them.

I immediately cut the cords warmed them up , got a blanky and put them with her. Ginxy was sat in the corner frightened to death not knowing what to do. I said to them that she needs to go to the vet as I suspected she had mastitis. " We can't afford to take her to the vet!" :shout: :hyper:

Then why the H*** did you let her get pregnant????? again ..Idiots!
I said " Let me take her for you and I will pay for it" and the whole time I'm thinking , just let me get this cat out of this house lord.

I took her and thats the last time those 2 sickos saw her again.... she had 7 kittens ...7?? My cats have never had a litter that big. I was just sick. She lost all but 3 and I raised them until they were 15 weeks old and now they have lovely homes with works colleagues. I still have not gotten over it. In Ginxies photos you will notice that she has a silver coat on black. Due to all of the trauma she was exposed to during this birth it has caused her to have a " Stress Coat" she is a Black self exotic short hair, basically a pure black cat. I have no idea how long it will take for her to get her normal black coat back. I can assure you that she will NEVER leave this house again unless it's over my fat dead cold body. She was so skinny that you could feel her spinal cord.

I have to say that the guilt I feel over this cat is overwhelming ...........here she is loved , fat and happy! I want u guys to see her right after I got her and what she looks like now.

Notice in this picture how skinny her neck is and the hair loss on the back of the neck , not to mention all of the grey in her coat, this is NOT normal and is due to stress. This pic was taken shortly after the birth at my house.

Lovely cat and such a sad story. I'm glad you rescued her, she looks so much better now. And its nice it has a happy ending. :)

What a sad story  , the pics are lovely  . You shouldn't feel any guilt your a hero good on ya :good: Let us see more pics when you have time :)

i am amazed about how different she looks on the last pictures and how cute the kittens are, good on you for getting her out of there and givng her the love and attention she needs, she is soooooo georgeous

This is her sister Phoenix and her baby (not related at all to ginxy but they love each other to bits)

Phoenix was another rescue :fun: sad story too but when I got her she had the same stress coat. She is absolutely petrified of strangers. I don't encourage visitors because it upsets her so much. She used to steal the other queens babies and try to nurse them and I felt so bad for her that I let her have some babies of her own. She almost licked them to death

First thing I did was call the RSPCA on their A** !! Told her and him to procreate with themselves  Let's hope u guys get that ...and thats the last time we spoke. The bad thing is that he is a work colleague and I have to see him every day. He whines to other people and is always trying to get his own back . But he won't, I've made sure everyone knows what they did. :good: :good: His wife is a prozac moment just waiting to happen now. U never know someone until your cat goes to live with them............. :look:

Glad you managed to get her back. she looks so much better now.
I bred Longhairs for 15 years and gave up when i realised some of my babies wern't going to good homes,i got very depressed about it and had my four girls Spayed.
I have just had my last girl Silver put to sleep in July, 3 days short of her 17th Birthday.

:grr: That is just awful. How can people abuse animals like that? Poor little Ginxy. And those poor helpless little kittens. Shame, they didn't deserve to be neglected after birth, and die. How disgusting. Who was the father of these kittens?? Was he their cat too?? Hope the RSPCA don't ever let them have pets EVER again.

I'm really glad you went over there and rescued her and the kittens. She is such a gorgeous little thing, and looks so sweet in those pics. Your other cats are amazing too. I just love Phoenix and the little cream kitten. Too cute.

Keep up the great work, your cats are amazing and look so happy and well looked after :good: .

:D
