Eating red food? You might be consuming tiny crushed bugs (cochineal). Look for carminic acid, carmine, or cochineal extract in the ingredients list.
That's no big deal. Most of us eat "bugs." (Shrimp, lobsters, crawfish, crabs...)

Because hummingbirds have such fast metabolisms, they go into a state of hibernation every night so they don't starve to death while they sleep.

Just saw this:
The water anole lizard actually creates its own source of air, like a scuba tank, so he can breathe under water for up to 15 minutes!

I love hummingbirds. They act exactly the way you'd expect an animal to act that lives on straight sugar. :lol:

Predaceous Diving Beetles also carry a bubble of air under their wing covers that acts as a scuba tank. Nature is so cool.
