Fry Update

These guys will be 4 weeks old tomorrow! They all have dorsal fins now, and the bigger ones have iiitty bitty ventrals. I hope to jar them soon, when I figure out a way to keep the individual jars warm enough.

Look! Color! Even though this is really the only picture you can see it on, a lot of them are turning shimmery green, blue, and even a coppery/gold color.

And so you don't have to take my word for it... one of the DTs!

17 are "jarred" in 1-1.5 gallon containers and there are about 15 still in the spawn tank that will be jarred as soon as I get more containers... I can only buy like 5 at a time cuz that's all they ever have in stock!

The biggest one... don't mind the monster turd. Ah, my little poop machines.

No, that's not ich... even though it looks like he/she has it in the photo for some reason.

Two of the ones jarred are the two runts... so they have a chance to grow, because I love my widdle runtypoos. And also so I can feed BBS to them for both meals instead of one frozen meal and one BBS meal like I do for the other guys.

Wow they sure are growing fast. Mine are a few days over a month and a week tomorrow and are just now getting in color. I'm hoping they grow faster within the next few weeks. Maybe we can swap fry if I can feel safe enough to ship . My spawn is only like 20 very small spawn.

Well, when they're -really- small I can't get photos of them, but they're getting bigger now so what works for me is just taking the pictures from a little far away, and the cropping them to what you actually wanted to take the picture of... it focuses better that way.

Thanks for the congats. About half of them are already jarred, the other half are still in the 10 gallon tank I used for spawning.
