Fry From Dead Fish?

hey there..
i have had my fish for just over a week now. and today i decided to get 2 more female fish as the 2 males i had started to turn very aggressive.so far i have now

1x male balloon molly
2x female dalmation molly's

1x male platy
2 x female platies (1 micky)

and am sure i spotted 1 fry today!.. it was approx 5-7mm long was little orangy/green colour BIG EYES!.. and a clear tail.. I only seen it for 30 seconds i was amazed!.. it wizzed off and 1 of the fish chased it but i havnt seen it since! so probably been eaten

I have had a few fish that died in the past, i am just wondering could that fry be from the fish that previously died? could of it been hiding in the gravel all this time?..

because i bought a air pump today and i added a live plant ... so i was doing some moving around today could it be possible that it was living under the gravel?

also I think my female dal molly is pregnant, but am not sure... when i added the new molly today she looked so thin compared to the molly i already had! i will post a picture of both my female mollys together the 1 near the bottem is the one i think is pregnant, let me know what you all think..

The size you are describing is probably less than a week old fry. If you have had no other fish in the tank for a week or two, then the fry is from one of the fish you have now and not from something else in the past. Newborn platy fry are almost clear and only get their dark markings as they mature so it could be a platy.

Maybe one of yo9ur fish is giving birth now, keep a close eye out foe more.

Mollies generally give birth all the time lol so keep an eye out for any fry.

Also can you check inside your filter for me, there is a good chance the fry you saw has been sucked up inside it with or without some brothers and sisters, if they are still alive if in there put them in a spare pot floating on the top on the water until you can get a breeder net.

Hey just an update for you all.. i have not seen any other signs of fry maybe the other fish got to it before i could, all my fish are quite skinny except my dalmation molly.. and i checked the filter.. clean as a whistle! haha.. I have also spotted another quite unusual thing on my live plant.. i didnt notice it the other day but there seems to be an clear sac of eggs and the dots in the middle are green! .. about 5 or 6 maybe am not sure.. I also think i have an snail egg capulet thingy on my plant too becuase its very brown in colour!.. I havnt got any snails or anything else in my tank apart from plats and molls .. any ideas on the mysterious eggs! haha.. thanks

Eggs often come in on new plants. A clear jelly looking mass of small eggs is snail eggs.

wow cool! haha coz when i wanted a snail from the shop they were quarentined or how ever u spell it! so i might get 1for free? haha!.. have u got any idea what sort of snails the green eggs could be coz i also have brown single capulets too ..

Single brown eggs are not any snail I'm familiar with but lots of fish lay eggs too. Cories have small white or tan eggs. Common pond snails are the ones most likely to be leaving blobs of eggs on plants.

oh god! all end up with HUGE snails haha i can see my hubby having fits haha he hates the really bigones haha!.. do they take a few weeks to hatch? 1 or 2 maybe..

hey here is an update for u all ! i was just feeding the fish a minute ago and i thought some food got stuck to the side off the glass .. on a closer inspection, IT was a SNAIL! sooo tiny about 2mm big or less haha but i have recently bought a plec ( do catfish eat snails?), so it might end up eaten !

aww thank god! a was hoping to get 1 but, i thought after a week and a half i wasnt going to ! now i have its shell was so tiny so am not sure what type but its was golden / browny so maybe its an apple snail
