Free Plecs X2 To Good Home.

Hi there

I recently rescued two plecs see pictures below, which have been identified in the following thread as [URL="http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=271181"]http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=271181[/URL]

Its a L001 (Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus)
should quickly get to around 12inches in size before slowing down its growth and stopping anywhere upto 18inches

I currently have the housed in a temporary 4 foot fish tank, and they are now looking for a good home. (Would love to keep them, but its just not possible)


- would prefer to keep them housed together if possible as they have been a pair for around a year now. (age wise we are guessing based on previous owner, around 2 years max)
- willing to deliver locally around West Yorkshire within reason, or you may collect.
- please only take them if you can house them at full size
- I will NOT post

i think you will find these are worth quite a bit mate, have you tried plecofanatics, some-one will leiterally bite your arm off on there!!

there not woth anythnk IMO they get 2 big and thats wot puts ppl off most of PF will be far from interested in them have u tried rehoming at u LFS ? maybe get a little store crdit fo them

I haven't asked the LFS yet as I said in my post I will be going to the LFS if no luck on here

I wouldn't bother mate, you're more likely to get a repsonse on here frankly. The PF lot prefer the more 'exotic' plec most of the time.

I have one of these in my 5 ft, its about 7 years old and 9" long, its a good algae eater and does like a bit of a swim every now and then but is generally pretty sedentary. Planet catfish puts its max size at 12" not 18" I would think this is pretty accurate.

It gets on very well with my much smaller clown plecs and they can often be seen sharing a bit of cucumber.

Dont let the 18" thing put any one off.
