i just phoned and confirmed that i will be getting mine

i ordered mine through greatmagazines.co.uk on the 3rd and got a confirmation letter of subscription just yesterday from them, no mention of the tank!

i hope mine comes through aswell of there will be a refund heading my way and ill go buy one in the shop for the same money

To be honest, whilst I wouldn't be very happy to not get the tank.
I think there is little that you can do regarding a refund of the subscription if you dont get your 'Free offer'. The PFK website did say they expect 'unprecedented demand' and 'whilst stocks last'.

I do however believe that those that paid the extra £5 (specifically for the tank) should be entitled to a refund of that.

I thought we had better clarify the situtation, so that you were all kept informed.

Practical Fishkeeping ordered a number of tanks and in the few days the offer has been available we have reached the number of tanks that we had to give away, we have tried to get more but this has not been possible.

This offer in 5 days has gained the number of new subscribers that PFK gets in four months.
With a very heavy heart I made the decision to close the offer yesterday. At that stage we had 30 less responses than we had tanks.
Therefore if you have already ordered your tank, and especially if you did it before Monday you will get the tank.
In the unlikely event that you are one of the last people to subscribe after the offer reached it's target you will be written to.
If you are one of these people and paid the additional £5.00 you will get this back.

I have not yet got a list of all those people who were succesful with their order, but I shall have this by tomorrow. If you would like to email me directly I shall let you know if you are on the list, if you could put the word tank in the subject line that would make it easier for me.

Glad the offer has significantly boosted the regular PFK readership (myself included).

Just wanted to add that it's great to see PFK promoting the planted tank side of the hobby in the UK, particularly the high-tech part. An area sadly lacking in resources in this country.

Hopefully not the last PFK contribution we'll see on the forum

Yeh I've not ordered a subscription but I think its extremely nice of PFK to register with the sole purpose of letting people know what the situation is, that's very commendable. I wonder how many forums Stuart signed up too

I just want to say how helpul the PFK editor is.
I emailed him to check I was on the list, explaining that I intended for the cube to be a surprise Xmas pressie for my other half, not only has he confimed that I am on the list but has promised that mine will be on the first postage to make sure I get it in time for xmas!!.
