I'm going to cycle my new tank the fishless way and I have read many articles and know how the theory. Only thing is, where do i get an ammonia source in the U.K, as you can't get pure ammonia. I know you can use fish flakes, but i don't want to mess up my tank.
 
I've successfully cycled 4 tanks using Jeyes Kleen Off which has about 9.5% ammonia(default setting on the calculator) I know this is quite popular in the UK.

You dont need pure ammonia, just ammonia diluted on water, normally between 5 - 10% ammonia rest water

Yes I have thanks, was advised of kleenoff which you can order from amazon. As far as i can see you can only buy ammonia based cleaning products from the shops, which would be no good because of all the other chemicals they contain.
