Fishless Cycle - Add & Wait (Take 2)

Would it be possible to post that Excel screen again LittleNemo? It seems to have disappeared from the other thread.

Mum tested the tank levels today (I was back at work after being ill)

7TH MARCH - DAY 24 AMMONIA 0.25PPM NITRITE 0.25PPM NITRATE(WASN'T TESTED)

Really hoping that tmoros 10am test shows 0ppm for ammonia & nitrite - im getting a little concerned about it fluctuating like this. I've reviewed my dosing and getting it exactly on the mark, so i definately didnt overdose on my ammonia redosing

Notice the pattern in the results? Its the 2nd time this has happened in my results

Its looking good.
Your ammonia is getting processed in 12hrs and your nitrite is not far off.
You could test nitrite at say 14hrs next time if it does not get to 0ppm in 12hrs and that may give you a bit more idea where its at.

Your ph is ok and the nitrate level is ok so i would go with it for a bit longer to get that nitrite munched in 12hrs.

Increase in nitrite from yesterdays result of 0.25ppm  now back upto 0.50ppm, nitrate still 80ppm and ammonia is 0ppm - will test nitrite at 14hrs as bbbarry said to see where nitrite are standing.

I wouldn't be too concerned LN, it's being crunched, just a bit erratic at times. It's going very well as far as I can see.

Hello LN,
Not long now, the traces of nitrite you are seeing at the 12hr mark can be very stubben but they will go. Just remember to keep an eye on your pH so that if you are presented with a crash you can respond straight away.

Keith.

Woohoo 5 consecutive times my ammonia's been 0PPM: 7th March @ 22.00 right the way through to 9th March @ 22.00 !!

Just have to wait til nitrite gets its bum into gear! :shout:

Looks like my nitrite is getting lighter in colour - todays result shows it not quite 0ppm but not fully 0.25ppm .. Best not get my hopes up too much tho  haha!
