Fishing..

What is your oppinion of it?
Personally I think it's barbaric..

I'm a woman so don't get it to be honest, fishing looks boring to me.
What gets me mad about fishing is that they leave hooks and wires and wildllife end up suffering.
As for killing a fish I couldn't but not saying you shouldn't kill fish for a meal.

I don't fish myself, and I accept that people do it for food and recreation. I don't mind it so long as people don't kill the fish they catch if they don't want them for food. It's also preferable if they use barbless hooks.

The only time I have fished I caught a 12" fish in a lake. The sucker almost pulled me out of the boat. It's pretty fun actually, just not something I could get into.

I used to do course fishing and would do it again because it is so peaceful. I am the sort that would never leave things lying about and I double check everywhere to make sure I don't leave anything lying about.

everytime i have fished i have eaten all the catch with friends afterwards, i dont agree with fishing for sport, but fishing for food is another matter.

I don't know what its like in the United States but here in the UK the wildlife teams are always having to remove hooks and lines from swans, geese etc.
It annoys me how people who fish don't clean up after themselves.

That's not so much a problem with fishing as it is a problem with those who fish.

If you can't bother to make sure you don't damage anything you shouldn't fish.

I think stabbing a fish through the mouth with a sharp metal hook then yanking it out into a suffocating atmosphere is cruel, tbh.

Sea fishing worse with trailors they suffocate to death.
Not a fish eater don't care for it much, only like cod, tuna, and samon and thats it.

I refuse to eat any seafood whatsoever.

well all those fish are hauled out into an atmosphere they cant breath in, put on ice while still alive etc etc, if you cant face up to where your food comes from dont eat it i say im quite at ease with catching a fish and eating it, for some people its gruesome, for me its natures cycle, but i do agree on the fact that fishing for sport and not putting your catch to use is quite disgusting, so wasteful.

That's exactly why I don't eat it.


I also beleive whaling is the most terrible aquatic animal related crime still glorified on this planet.

i absolutely hate the barbaric fishing of whales and endangered sharks, by many countries (china is the worst they do nothing to limit it) its a horrible horrible thing, that i just cant see the point of, these species have been pushed to the brink in the past just leave them be.

Think I heard they was going to start on dolphins and was horrified.
