Super reds sell even @ £1600

By the way cane tank looks great it just needs ermmmm maybe another �500-�600 spending on it and it will be 10 out of 10. yeah thats right buy my 3 tigs grow them on a bit and youve cracked it.

a super red may sell at £1600 but now everyone who is into aros in a big way knows you can pick them up for £1200 and with a saving of £400 even people with lots of money will buy the £1200 aro when the £1600 has bad gil curl

you have to remember if a shop orders in asian aros they get what they are sent from private sellers they get to hand pick their self and dont end up with crossed barbels protuding lower jaw drop eye or gil curl

MA get ripped off big time with high end asian aros

if im spending £1600 on a fish i want to see pics and the cert number before its shipped not just buy what im sent to spend £1600 on an aro it has to be perfect

with greens and grade 2 red they are normally good fish as with yours cane B)

but when you get the high end reds and cross backs thier is big money to make buy sending a £1600 fish over with faults

MA in enfeid had a batch the same a few years ago all with crossed barbels and if they didnt complain about it the the farm that they come from wan hu if im not wrong will think they can get away with sending 2nds over again

if your shop complains then im sure you will get better reds next time if MA say nothing then they will off load all their crap and make good money aswell

clown knife is in the main tank now
the 2 x eheim 2252s are filtering the tank while the pro 3s mature and they are doing a great job i was a bit worried they wouldnt cope.
i was also worried that taking the 2252s off the 100g would give me water problems in there but the 2217s are handling the smaller bio load easily
i was expecting loads of problems but its all gone really smoothly B)

the red is way to small to go in this tank he wouldnt last 5 minutes

Is the large ray fully grown? I have seen a few fresh-water rays in the LFS. What size would you say she was?

EDIT: Also I have had a look back in the post but I can't see what size the tank is, can u tell me in feet or inches, Thankies

the female is about 17" disc and her growth has slowed right down but they can reach 24"+ disc
tank is 84"x32"wx24"

i had to put the 4 siamese tigers in the big tank early because they were attacking my new limas
the 300 now has the 2nd pro3 thermo running and is finished besides some fish changes B)
