Fish Quiz

I SHOULD REPHRASE THE QUESTION--PLEASE READ THIS UPDATE--could a mod edit my post to show the KH amounts as in meq/l (I left that important info out)

I wish to use only the seachem product and not considering any ph rise,  I want to raise kh using seachem alkaline buffer.  .   I have a kh of 2 meq/l (milliequivalents/litre)  and wish to raise it to 10 meq/l . How many teaspoons of seachem alkaline buffer should I add.  Still waiting for the desired answer for which I have a link

12 teaspoons.

1 teaspoon for 1 meq/l per 20 gals.

Edit : just realised that's for raising pH, not kH.

Actually it IS 12 teaspoons or 84 grams of Alkaline Buffer to raise 2 meq/L to 10 meq/ L of kH in a 30 gal according to Seachem dosage calculator for Planted tank.

Well it would take -12 teaspoons in my tank where the KH is off the charts from the tap!

Edit: I just looked at my city's water readings, apparently we have a GH of 40.
