Does anyonoe know about AQUARISOL? The label suggests it is for the treatment of Ich and to also use it as a weekly tonic. But does anyone know what it does to the qualities of the water?..... (for example, I threw out my Amquel because it doesn't allow for a correct reading of Ammonia during cycling and switched over to Tap Water Conditioner by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals which does NOT interfere.)

I had an Ich attack, but it seems to be fine. I simply raised the water temperature to 86 degrees for 10 days and did water changes.

Although I'm happy with my chemically free tank, I am wondering if I should add AQUARISOL as a tonic as a further preventative.

Thanks, John NYC :flex:

I wouldn't bother with preventative products, it's just gonna stress your fish and mess with your water chemistry. I never throw meds or products in for a disease untill i know for a sure i have a disease. Even still, some diseases can be cured through just having clean water. The best way to prevent diseases is clean water, which also brings on a good fishy immune system. ;)

Thanks, I agree. I'm kinda glad that I've never used meds. Only "Tap Water Conditioner" from Aquarium Pharmaceuticals..... don't use Amquel, especially when cycling the tank, Amquel messes up the water qualities, espescially Ammonia. Thanks again for your advice.. John NYC :flex:

I wouldnt bother with addinng any chemicals at all to my tank. I like a chemical free tank. I never use medicine at all. I am a believer if you keep your water clean then that is pretty much all you need to do. That is all you need is a good clean tank. That is a smart thing to do is ask someone.
