Ok so its a hybrid, but is there any pike in it at all? Don't wanna go down the wrong road here. lol

too round & too many patterns to be a tetra or a rasbora in my experience. I'm guessing its either a cichild or more towards a rainbowfish...

MBOU how could you doubt your pic from being anything other than the dwarf rainbowfish? Perhaps that other tank was another species... The red rainbowfish and the dwarves look nothing alike.
