Oh gosh, 165 posts since yesterday.
I think by the end of today I'll need to make a fish ID game V3.
Anyway, I have no idea what type of fish it is but I will look in at this topic through out my sick day. :)

The haplochromine cichlids are a tribe of cichlids in subfamily Pseudocrenilabrinae called Haplochromini. This group includes the type genus (Haplochromis) plus a number of closely related genera such as Aulonocara, Astatotilapia, and Chilotilapia. They are endemic to eastern and southern Africa. It is found in Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. Its natural habitat is freshwater lakes.

Is it malawi bream - chilotilapia rhoadesii?

Well I am all out of guesses so I am off to bed :p

Male or female?

Just a guess - Chilotilapia euchilus

Edited: Added my answer to this post.

Hmm probably a male. The females look to be grey instead of blue.

The second name is something you would call someone who lives in New Zealand or the land of the hobbits.

Dimidiochromis kiwinge?

D. kiwinge group together and scavenge in a frenzied manner as they ''raid'' through habitats, gobbling up anything edible. D. kiwinge is a lek-breeding species. Males construct raised crater bowls and compete simultaneously for ripe females' attention.
